Q: Will we like the food?
A: Yes. Much of the island food is different than at home, however, Bahamian chefs are preparing foods that you are accustomed to eating.
Q: What's the weather like?
A: The weather is hot and sunny, with occasional refreshing rain showers.
Q: Is the water safe to drink?
A: YES!!!
Q: How quickly will we sunburn?
A: Very quickly! Always use sun block.
Q: Can we understand the Bahamians?
A: Yes! They speak English(British).
Q: Can we use our American dollars?
A: Yes! The Bahamian dollar is equal to the U.S. dollar. You won't need to exchange. They always take U.S. money.
Q: How much luggage can we take?
A: We suggest you take only one medium, soft preferred, suitcase and a backpack.
Q: How much spending money do I need?
A: Spending money is "totally optional".
Q: Do we need shots?
A: NO!!!
Q: What type of ID is required?
A: Up to date passport is needed as of December 2006. Persons 18 and under must have a signed parental consent form.
Q: What is the age limit?
A: Each team director will be responsible for setting their age requirements. We suggest seventh grade and up.
Q: Will we have free time?
A: Yes! Camp directors will coordinate free time with the team leaders.
Q: Can we purchase Camp Bahamas T-shirts, hats, etc?
A: Yes! T-shirts and hats are available at the camp store along with snack foods and drinks.
